Austrian Crypto stamps

Recently, the Austrian Radio and Television Organization (ORF) published an article on its website about crypto stamps.
The website reported a huge increase in the value of Austrian crypto stamps, which are issued from 2019. The first stamp was issued on June 11, 2019, depicting a unicorn. To guarantee the uniqueness of the image, this includes an image that is stored in the Ethereum blockchain. The number of stamps issued was 150,000.

This year the 3rd crypto stamp was issued, this time with an image of a whale. To prevent counterfeiting, this latest generation is equipped with a so-called NFC chip.

Within a week there was an enormous increase in value of the stamps. The last issue was already sold out in 10 minutes, for the price of € 9.90. Soon after, some tried to sell the stamps for double that amount, apparently hoping to make some quick money. These were probably not real collectors but speculators hoping to get rich easily.
Classical philatelists don't seem to get excited about blockchain technology yet.
