Postex sheet

On 28 and 29 October 2022, the Postex philatelic event was held in Barneveld. As usual, the organisation had 2 sheets made with 3 (semi) personal stamps each, 1 for the Friday and 1 for the Saturday.
The theme of the sheets this year was the Ballonfiësta Barneveld, an annual event. Therefore the stamps are provided with images of hot-air balloons.

On the Saturday sheet, the middle stamp shows an image of the motorcycle balloon of balloonist Herman Kleinsmit, living in the village of Joure.

He has participated in the Balloon Fiesta at least in the year 2017, when he ended up in a tree due to an unfortunate landing. Fortunately without too much damage, after a small repair the balloon flew again.

In 2017, the motor balloon was also used by the MFN for the personalized franking stamp for newsletter 121. Because the MFN was celebrating its 30th anniversary at that time, this stamp was combined with an anniversary stamp.
