Well then!
After spending a few months mainly on recovery, I'm now back on track – and hopefully in better shape – with my hobby: Motorcycle Philately.
Collector's form Tsjechië
In the auction we have an item from the Czech Republic that could do with some clarification. Lot 91 appears to be nothing more than a piece of paper with a stamp image on it. However, it is a small collector's form featuring a stamp from the 1975 Czech Motorcycles series, accompanied by a cancellation stamp depicting a postman on a bicycle.

This is a special commemorative leaflet for those who visited the exhibition "On a Trail" at the Vyssi Brod Post Office. The exhibition featured historical bicycles, reinforced bicycles and postal motorcycles, and showed the development of mail and parcel delivery from 1888 onwards.
The Czech Post issues these kinds of sheets for all events at which they have a stand, and they are particularly popular with collectors in the Czech Republic. This one is especially appealing for us because a motorbike stamp has been used as the illustration.
The sheet featuring the 1-koruna stamp is therefore definitely a collector's item and bears the serial number PTM 37.
The fact that the post office had already been engaged in this activity a few years earlier is evident from the existence of a sheet dating from 2012. On 1 December of that year, a retrospective exhibition in honour of Kamil Lhotak was held at the Postal Museum in Prague. The sheet also featured a motorcycle stamp from this series, with an illustration by Kamil. Catalogue number: PTM 34.

Åland microcar on a recent stamp issue
For many peopel it's a bit of an odd one out, but for others it's a must-have for their collection. In 2025, Åland Post has chosen a quintessentially local subject, captured on a contemporary stamp: the Åland microcar.

This issue captures, in philatelic form, a means of transport that is commonplace yet characteristic of the islands.
The microcar holds a special place on Åland. Due to local regulations and the short distances involved, the vehicle has been a familiar sight on the streets for decades. The choice of this motif fits well within the tradition of Åland issues, which focus on island life, regional customs and recognisable objects. The moped, which is classified as a moped despite its car-like design, has become a popular means of transport among young people. With two seats and a top speed of 45 km/h, it may be driven from the age of 15.
The issue date is 19 March 2025, and the value is a substantial €6.00. 30,000 stamps have been printed in sheets of 2 x 15 stamps, with a gutter featuring the moped.

The first day cover features an image of the microcar and young people socialising as they hang out together in it. The first day postmark shows a key ring that young people can use to express their individuality.
